Rain delayed the start of day three of the fourth Ashes Test between Australia and England .
Play is scheduled to start at 11:00 BST on Friday but drizzle means that the covers are still around.
The weather has been set to improve from around 13:00, with England waiting to resume on 23-1, trailing by 474.
Even the five-match series is now tied at 1-1, but success for Australia at Manchester this week may see them keep the Ashes.
Batsman Steve Smith scored a sublime 211 allowing before England opener Joe Denly fell for four Australia to announce on 497-8.
Rain shortened day one but the forecast is for dry weather throughout the weekend.
